Digestive discomfort - Bergamot is known to be antispasmodic, it supports the elimination of abdominal cramps.
Emotional health - Bergamot is fabulous for lifting ones spirits. It is excellent in a diffuser. Add Clary Sage and Rose, or with Rosemary, to uplift the mood. You can also do a blend of Neroli, Frankincense, and Ylang Ylang to reduce anxiety.
Respiratory - Due to Bergamot's antispasmodic actions, it can be helpful in calming spastic coughing. It can also help fight respiratory infections. In this situation, you might like to blend it with Clary Sage to boost up the antispasmodic activity, or with Juniper Berry to help reduce congestion. You could add Eucalyptus which is great against a range of respiratory pathogens.
Immune stimulant - Cold and Flu season? Compromised immunity? Bergamot blended with Frankincense, and Ginger.
Musculoskeletal - Bergamot works wonderful restless leg syndrome. Consider blending it with Basil, Lavender, Clary Sage, Sweet Marjoram, Geranium, Juniper Berry, or Black Pepper
Stress and hypertension - Bergamot is very effective for soothing depression and anxiety. It can be blended well with other antidepressant oils such as Geranium, Rose, Patchouli, and Lavender. It can be used in a diffuser or in massage blends.
